Our mission

Our mission

For a long time, we have focused exclusively on one thing: the use of PBMT (photobiomodulation therapy) for dogs and cats. Our mission is to make effective supportive care possible directly in the home environment, helping animals that have lost mobility achieve a better quality of life.
As pet owners ourselves, we know what it means to feel helpless while watching animals suffer from illness. From this sense of responsibility, we deliberately chose a clear path: a long-term commitment to innovative, scientifically grounded and animal-friendly solutions. Our aim is to help ease pain, support mobility and sustainably improve the quality of life of dogs and cats.

Our team

Expertise vereint

Our team brings together interdisciplinary expertise that continuously flows into the development and refinement of OsteoVitalis products. Knowledge from veterinary medicine, veterinary rehabilitation, nutritional science and engineering is deliberately combined and applied in a practical way.

Verantwortung lebt

What unites us is a shared sense of responsibility towards animals and the commitment to translate that responsibility consistently into high-quality, scientifically grounded products. This attitude shapes our daily work and forms the foundation for the sustainable development of our brand.

Zukunft gestaltet

Our team continues to grow. By deliberately involving additional specialists, we broaden our professional spectrum and create an increasingly solid basis for future product development.

Soziale Verantwortung

At OsteoVitalis, we are committed to long-term animal welfare work and run our own company-linked animal welfare initiative. Internationally, we currently work with 13 animal welfare and rescue organisations and actively support the placement of animals in new homes. A particular focus is finding suitable adoptive families in Germany and responsibly handing over dogs and cats to verified, reliable households.

The organisation and supervision of this project take place internally and are handled by our employees on a rotating basis. This gives every team member direct insight into practical animal welfare work and the social responsibility associated with a brand in the field of pet health.

This commitment is part of how we understand ourselves, and also the origin of our entrepreneurial motivation: to use our professional and organisational competence purposefully to help animals in a sustainable way. The founders have shared this conviction since their joint experiences in animal welfare work in South Africa. Effective help requires not only compassion, but also the ability to improve existing structures over the long term.

OsteoVitalis - developed for dogs and cats

Unlike many common red light devices that were originally developed for humans and are simply "also used" for animals, OsteoVitalis was designed from the outset for the physiological characteristics of dogs and cats. Three clear principles are at the centre of the design: safety, effectiveness and comfort.

1. Scientifically optimised light dosage - adapted to animals' real needs

Most red light devices available on the market are primarily aimed at human users and do not sufficiently take into account differences in body weight, skin thickness, fur structure and tissue composition in dogs and cats.

Photobiomodulation (PBM) follows what is known as a biphasic dose-response relationship: an appropriate light dose can support regenerative processes at cellular level, while both too little and too much dosage can reduce effectiveness or carry potential risks.

OsteoVitalis was precisely calibrated on the basis of veterinary physiological data to ensure that the emitted light energy always remains within a range that is both safe and effective.

2. Precise body fixation - for better effect and hands-free use

The penetration depth of light is physically limited: as the distance from the skin increases, effective energy decreases significantly.

OsteoVitalis was designed to be worn directly and securely on the affected area, minimising light loss and purposefully improving local energy absorption.

During use, the device remains securely fixed without needing to be held by the owner. This enables a relaxed, low-stress application for both animal and human.

3. Wireless power system - fewer visual stimuli, more freedom of movement

Conventional mains-powered devices can produce what is known as light flicker through alternating current. Even if this flicker is barely perceptible to the human eye, studies show that dogs and cats perceive visual stimuli, especially light flicker, much more sensitively. Such stimuli can cause restlessness or stress in animals.

OsteoVitalis therefore uses a cordless power and charging system that completely avoids flicker effects. The result is calm, comfortable and flexible use - at home, in the car or during relaxed breaks outdoors.
